The role:
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our world-leading Marine Infrastructure Solutions department based in Falmouth.
As a Project Engineer, you will assist in the successful preparation and delivery of 24/7 marine construction projects.
Your role will ensure the high quality of deliverables required by our clients is achieved, checked, and recorded.
Health and Safety is a key focus, and you will assist the Project Manager and Project Supervisors in adhering to the standards set by Fugro and our clients.
You will also need to be able and willing to work offshore.
You will draft method statements, risk assessments, and lift plans to enable efficient and safe operations, fostering a positive health and safety culture.
You will have ongoing contact with the Project Manager and Project Supervisors during both the preparation and delivery phases of the project.
You will review progress, plan operations, and provide support for equipment coordination, engineering deliverables, and quality assurance.
Here's what a typical day would be like:
Assisting the site team to ensure operations are completed as defined by the project documentation and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement), in line with all health and safety requirements.
Coordinating sub-contractors, site visitors, and all project-associated coordination.
Providing comprehensive engineering/QA advice and information to the site team.
Coordinating all technical matters, including maintaining communication with remote support services.
Attending regular safety briefings and circulating H&S material.
Who we're looking for:
A degree or HND level qualification in Civils, Mining, Construction or an equivalent in a similar subject.
Previous Experience working on site.
Experience in marine construction, piling, and/or drilling is desirable.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.
Ability and desire to work offshore on a rota basis.
Offshore training - GWO/BOSIET desirable but not necessary.
Offshore medical or ability to obtain a medical - UKOOG, ENG1, or similar.

The role
As a QHSSE Marine Superintendent you will be responsible for driving QHSSE processes: auditing, incident investigations and IMS improvements.
You will support and advise the Global Fleet QHSSE Manager, DPA/CSO.
Global Fleet QHSSE Advisor, Marine Assurance Officers, Fleet Safety Coaches in day to day operations.
You will be deputise the Fleet Services Global Fleet QHSSE Lead and Global Fleet Compliance Lead when necessary.
The job involves conducting internal ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISO audits and inspections for assigned vessels, as well as navigational audits.
You will prepare vessels for external ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISO audits and assist the Vessel Teams in developing corrective and preventive actions and root cause analysis from internal and external audits and incident investigations.
You will lead level 2 and higher incident investigations and assist in level 1 investigations where required.
Additionally, you will prepare review meetings and present incident investigations for senior management, prepare lessons learned and preventive actions from incidents and NCRs, and share these across the fleet.
Onboard training for crews on IMS procedures is also part of the role.
You will maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) updates with consistent improvements to produce quality, accuracy, adequate, and efficient procedures, and provide and develop constructive new ideas.
Advising vessel teams on compliance with upcoming rules and regulations is also required.
Communication with FS departments, Fugro business lines, and contractors will be directed by the Global Fleet QHSSE Manager.
In terms of OH&S management, you are responsible for carrying out work as per IMS procedures, reporting all HSSE incidents, and actively participating in all engagements as requested by the employer.
Project management responsibilities include defining projects, building comprehensive work plans, executing and closing projects, and ensuring the coordination and delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget and scope.

As a Remote Operations Centre Geophysicist, you will work as part of the team within the state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Aberdeen.

As an Offshore Inspection Engineer you will be responsible for assisting onshore or offshore project preparation activities including online data recording systems, offline data editing and quality-control for structural and pipeline inspections.

QC of Inspection data recording, quality control of real-time video data and ensuring that, where required, all data sheets are completed accurately.
Ensure anomalies identified during online and offline inspections are accurately recorded and reported to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM and Client in a timely manner determined by the magnitude of the finding and anomaly criteria.
Assist in project reporting and delivery in accordance with Fugro and client specifications and document control parameters; document any variations to the workscope or procedures and inform the Client Deliverables department.

The role

As our Fleet Manager, you'll hold the reins of our entire fleet operations, ensuring every vehicle is compliant with UK regulations and company procedures.
You'll be a pivotal player, directly reporting to the UK Country Director and regularly collaborating with UK Business Directors, Service Line Managers, and Resource Centre Managers to champion best practices, training, and procedural excellence.
As a key player in our organization, your responsibilities will include directing and coordinating all vehicle operations within company policies and procedures and updating and modifying vehicle operation company procedures to stay ahead of the curve.
You'll oversee the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all vehicles, ensuring they're always in top-notch condition.
This includes servicing, MOTs, and repairs.
Ensuring all statutory certifications are up to date and meticulously maintained will be part of your routine, while maintaining detailed vehicle location and service records for seamless tracking.
Breakdown cover for non-lease vehicles and coordinating ATS tyres will also fall under your jurisdiction.
Additionally, you will monitor and report compliance with driver hours, tachograph laws, and fleet operator license conditions.
Establishing and maintaining training programs to ensure compliance with National Standards and the legal operation of all road vehicle types and plant will be vital.
You'll lead investigations into vehicle incidents to identify root causes and implement recommended actions.
Coordinating with Fugro's Insurance for incident reporting, repairs, and fleet insurance renewals will be essential, as will serving as the central contact for all hire vehicle requests, including order processing and monitoring.
You'll manage GPS tracking and tachographs, checking for infringement, along with HGV driver software and taco software.
Ensuring compliance with National Highways HGV driving standards in Cambridge, CPT trucks, and MSC yard trucks will be your responsibility.
You'll be involved in the disposal, sale, and removing of branding from vehicles.
Driver of the month data and safety data with HSE will also be under your watchful eye.
Lease vehicles management, asset register management, and hiring vehicle agreements with enterprise, thrifty, and Hertz alongside the travel team will be part of your role.
You'll handle replacement vehicles and vehicle damage admin, fine admin with the travel team, and coordinate with HR for policy adherence.
You'll be responsible for toll accounts and low emission zone costs, reporting on fuel consumption and meeting sustainability targets for the UK plan, and fuel cards management.
Insurance coordination with the Legal/Insurance function and car tax coordination with the finance function will be crucial.
Managing owned vehicles, tax reminders, operator's license requirements, 3rd party audits, and registration management will also be part of your duties.
You'll ensure adherence to HSE regulations and specialist training and monitoring, manage HGV licenses, and conduct FORS audits.
Van and HGV training will also be under your purview, alongside portal admin rights training for visibility to the fleet manager.
Managing Masternaut GPS data and auditing vehicle usage with line managers will be your responsibility.
Holding an L3 cert for road haulage is necessary for this role.
Finally, record management across offices will be part of your portfolio.
