Assistant Executive Pastry Chef

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Location: Hawaii

The Company:

I’m working with a luxurious global 5-star resort group & helping them in their search for an Assistant Pastry Chef to join their high volume resort. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop new menus and test new recipes
• Oversee buffets, restaurants, special events and catering parties
• Monitor and control food and labor costs within the allotted budgets
• Overseeing team of 15+ people
• Inventory & food costs
• Motivate and develop an effective team to achieve common goals
• Delegate tasks and responsibility to ensure high performance
• Manage change to enable individuals and team to meet current and future business needs
• Schedule, organize, supervise, and communicate effectively to all employees

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years’ experience as a Pastry Sous chef
• Extensive pastry experience is a MUST
• Previous banquet & management experience is essential for this role
• Organized and strong communicator
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent leadership and time management skills
• Decisive, motivated, and a fantastic role model
