Project Manager

A client within the Private Sector based in North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the private sector within a construction environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to lead projects delivered by the client and be responsible for all aspects of service delivery from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Management and leadership of projects both pre and post-contract across a number of sectors including, but not limited to Housing, Education and Local Government;


• Comply with the clients internal quality and project management procedures, to include reporting, change control, risk management and gateway approvals;


• Develop programmes, using Microsoft Project;


• Financial management of own commissions;


• Lead on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for all aspects of service delivery;

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a degree in a related field of study as well as a minimum of 3 years' experience of working for a construction related organisation.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• A proven track record of managing own successful projects in the construction industry;


• Knowledge of Design & Build, warranties, and agreement for leases;


• Team management experience;


• Excellent client facing skills;


• Experience of the whole project cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage and at each design in between;

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30,000 - £40,000 per annum including various other benefits.
