Business Development Manager (Hybrid - 2 Remote Days)
Business Development Manager, Madrid, €50,000 - €70,000
A leading international food retail company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and spearhead strategic initiatives.
This senior role reports directly to the Managing Director and plays a crucial part in shaping the company’s future by identifying new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and generating revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead business development activities and create strategic partnerships to generate new revenue.
- Implement and drive the company’s annual business development strategy in coordination with the Managing Director and CFO.
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to drive significant income growth and sector penetration.
Sales and Operations Collaboration:
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals for clients.
- Oversee the entire sales process and ensure the successful execution of contracts.
- Collaborate on launching new products and improving underperforming services.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and prospective business partners.
- Lead presentations to both clients and internal executives, while negotiating contract terms.
Data & Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyse key metrics, sales performance, and insights to drive improvement.
- Gather and analyse market and competitor data to inform business decisions.
Key Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a business development or sales management role within the food retail industry.
- Language Skills: Fluent in both Spanish and English (B2 level or higher).
- Management: Proven track record of leading and developing business development teams and achieving revenue growth.
Desired:
- Qualifications: MBA or business-related qualifications preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong background in forecasting, data analysis, and project management.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in food retail or related sectors.
