Placements Officer



Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Placements Officer in Enfield.



The Placements Officer will make a range of placements under the supervision of the Senior Placements Officer and Team Manger.

The range of placements will include, Independent Fostering Agencies, Residential Placements, Special Needs, and Welfare Secure Placements.



This is a part time position working 16 hours a week.



Pay rate - £16.15 per hour / £19.95 ltd (umbrella)



Main Responsibilities



As a Placements Officer, you will be responsible for:




  • To commission a range of external care placements to meet the needs of the Council's Looked After Children

  • To ensure the delivery of Value for Money in all the team's commissioning processes

  • To negotiate the costs of individual and volume agreements to deliver ongoing efficiencies

  • To develop the provider market to meet the evolving needs of the complex client group

  • To ensure that the appropriate contract framework is in place for each placement made

  • To advise social workers on other staff on the most appropriate placement option available



Requirements:




  • Enhanced DBS

  • Knowledge of the range of complex needs of Looked After Children
