We are working with an upscale restaurant, who is known for its exceptional dining experience, offering a refined atmosphere and a menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

They are seeking a Wine Director to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the restaurant's menu, focusing on quality, variety, and seasonal offerings
• Educate and train staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and pairing recommendations to enhance the overall guest experience
• Oversee the inventory of wine and related products, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
• Interact with guests to provide personalized wine recommendations and enhance their dining experience through expert guidance
• Collaborate with the management team to create and execute marketing strategies and promotions related to wine sales, driving revenue and enhancing brand presence

What they are looking for:

• A deep understanding of wine regions, varieties, and production methods, with the ability to curate a diverse and high-quality wine selection
• A background in the hospitality industry, preferably with 3-5 years of experience in a fine dining environment as a sommelier
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and manage a team, fostering a culture of excellence in wine service and guest engagement
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with guests, staff, and suppliers, and the capacity to convey wine knowledge in an engaging manner
