Job Title: Band 6 CAMHS LD Nurse
Location: Springfield Hospital, London
Contract Type: 4 Days per Week (Agency Contract)
Hourly Rate: £31 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Band 6 CAMHS LD Nurse to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Springfield Hospital on a flexible agency contract.

The role will involve working with children and adolescents with learning disabilities (LD) and mental health conditions, providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

This is a part-time contract for 4 days per week, with an hourly rate of £31.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist nursing care to children and adolescents with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.


• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, and risk management.


• Deliver therapeutic interventions and contribute to multidisciplinary care plans.


• Act as a key worker, coordinating care with families, carers, and other professionals within the CAMHS team.


• Provide support, advice, and education to families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.


• Implement and maintain safeguarding procedures in line with hospital and NHS policies.


• Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with all legal, professional, and clinical governance standards.


• Supervise and mentor junior staff and students where applicable.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with valid NMC registration.


• Previous experience working in CAMHS or with children and adolescents with learning disabilities.


• Strong assessment and care planning skills.


• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and mental health legislation.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• Flexibility to work 4 days a week, as part of an agency contract.
