Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Referral & Information Co-Ordinator with Rochdale Council.

Rochdale Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

About the Role:
Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a dedicated Referral & Information Co-ordinator to join our Children's Social Care team.

You will provide a frontline assessment and information service, ensuring the most appropriate use of resources within the department and other agencies.

Your work will directly contribute to the welfare and safety of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and information to members of the public, service users, and partner agencies.


• Conduct assessments and determine the best course of action for service provision.


• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.


• Offer direct support and counselling to families, promoting family unity wherever possible.


• Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reports using the local authority's IT systems.


• Support social workers in reviewing and planning interventions and maintaining links with other agencies.


• Actively promote Rochdale Borough Council's strategic objectives.

About You:
We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working within care services, ideally with knowledge of social services and statutory/voluntary agencies.


• Is skilled in providing assessments and information to the public.


• Can negotiate with partner agencies and source services to meet identified needs.


• Has strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.


• Is committed to safeguarding children and promoting welfare, equality, and diversity.

Working Conditions:

• You will be based at Rochdale Police Station.


• A flexible approach to working hours may be required, and additional training will be provided as necessary.
