An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller with expertise in DATEV and SAP, alongside fluent German language skills, to lead the financial management of a well-known European property.

This is a standalone position, reporting directly to the General Manager while liaising with a Group Financial Director and external accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement internal control systems for income, expenditure, and hotel assets.
• Oversee bookkeeping and financial accuracy, ensuring proper handling of payables and receivables.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and hotel management teams to provide key financial insights.
• Approve and monitor the hotel’s financial transactions including sales, purchases, and payroll.
• Play an active role in profitability improvement and provide financial analyses.
• Liaise with external accounting services and manage central accounting functions.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, and financial reports, ensuring timely submission.
• Protect hotel assets by managing cash flow, credit, and collection policies.
• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• DATEV and SAP proficiency.
• Fluency in German is mandatory (C2 level).
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Strong business acumen with a proactive, hands-on approach.
