Childcare Solicitor

Our client, a recognised North East law firm, are recruiting for a Childcare Solicitor to join their team in Gateshead.

The role would suit a Childcare Solicitor with upwards between 2 and 10 years' post qualifying experience, gained within local authority or private practice public childcare work.

Responsibilities:

• Handling a caseload of public childcare matters to include care proceedings, adoption, special guardianship offers and childcare protection issues.


• Representing clients in court, and attending to clients in person.


• Providing empathetic and expert legal advice to clients throughout the life of their case.


• Analysing, drafting and submitting court applications, witness statements and legal documentation.


• Working closely with social services, guardians and other parties.


• Providing an expert legal of client care.

Requirements:

• Qualified Childcare Solicitor with upwards of 2 years' experience gained in public childcare work.

Salary to £52,000.
