Teach Plus are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced SEND school in Ashford on a full-time basis from September 2026.

Role Responsibilities - SEND Teacher


As a SEND Teacher, you will:



  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND

  • Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and attainment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to support learning and wellbeing

  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development


The Ideal Candidate


We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher who is confident in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.


Essential Requirements



  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience working as a SEND Teacher or within a SEN / special education setting

  • Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiation, and inclusive teaching strategies

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Right to work in the UK


Desirable



  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex needs

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
