We're working with an enterprise scale global entertainment organisation seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to support and enhance a modern hybrid infrastructure environment across cloud and on-premise platforms.

This is a hands-on role focused on Kubernetes, Linux administration, automation, monitoring, and platform reliability.

You'll play a key part in ensuring critical systems remain secure, scalable and highly available while supporting engineering teams across a global business.

The Role
Key responsibilities include:



  • Building, managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Supporting and administering MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.

  • Managing monitoring, alerting and logging platforms.

  • Automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and scripting.

  • Maintaining high availability and resilience across critical systems.

  • Managing access controls and permissions within cloud platforms.

  • Troubleshooting, performance tuning and platform optimisation.

  • Developing technical standards, best practices and documentation.

  • Providing technical support and guidance to internal engineering teams.



Required Experience
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in some or all of the following:



  • Hands-on administration of sharded MongoDB clusters.

  • Building and managing Kubernetes environments, including GKE and self-managed clusters.

  • Designing and supporting highly available, resilient infrastructure.

  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack and rsyslog.

  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Packer and Bash.

  • Strong Linux administration experience, particularly Ubuntu environments.

  • Exposure to medium or large-scale business environments.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Experience collaborating with teams across multiple locations and time zones.
