Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a paid, HR Intern to work out of its Headquarters in St.
Louis, MO.
this summer.
This position will work closely with Human Resources Team and is a great opportunity for hands-on experience in the Human Resources field while expanding your professional network.
Minimum Requirements: This paid intern will work roughly 30 - 40 hours per week from May-August.
Must be pursuing a degree in HR or a similar related field.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical activity but does require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day.
No unusual environmental, lifting or exertion requirements are associated with this position.
Essential Functions:
Interns will be responsible for assisting the daily functions of Human Resources.
The Human Resources manager will ensure the intern will adhere to industry best practices and our company's policies.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Screening resumes and applications Schedule interviews with candidates Participate in organizing employee events to promote employee engagement Review and learn company policies in digital formats or hard copies Address employee questions about company policy Leading HR Project Initiatives as needed Maintain employee files as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Estimator supports the Panelization/Facades business by providing detailed material takeoffs, project estimates, and technical details for client inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement processes for estimating, on-screen material takeoff, and scope reviews to provide added value to the extended sales team and client base.
Follow standard operating procedures for project estimating and manufacturing process development.
Prepare all aspects of an estimate including interpreting specifications and architectural drawings, understanding addendums, RFIs, and all other related documents that pertain to the project for bidding purposes.
Interpret the construction schedule for materials to be installed.
Compute overall costs associated with the project (material and panel fabrication) Create and maintain a database for all projects to include all job cost estimate breakdown documentation provided to the project coordination team.
Assist in the development of written text/illustrations for catalog and installation or design support literature for new product launches.
Convert AutoCAD documents to PDF, GIF, JPEG, EPS, WMF, and other file formats.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Associates or Bachelors degree in commercial construction or similar preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Minimum of two year's experience in commercial construction, exterior wall cladding, technical service or similar Ability to read and navigate construction documents and building plans is highly preferred
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Project Management comprehension Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Experience with Word, Excel, On-Screen Takeoff, or Bluebeam Effective team player Self-motivated Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Requirements:

This Intern will work alongside our Continuous Improvement Manager, Plant Managers, and other CI personnel, reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager, with dotted line of accountability to the local Plant Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, additionally the completion of at least 30 credit hours toward a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
Experience related to either manufacturing, industrial, or engineering or enrolling in a program in a related field is also desirable. This paid intern will work roughly 30 - 40 hours per week from May-August.
Must be pursuing a four-year degree in Engineering or a similar field.
Physical Requirements:

Responsible for ensuring ISO standards and procedures are followed. Review and approve time card hours in the timekeeping system by 8:30am every Monday morning. Communicate improper equipment operation or downtime to maintenance and coordinate required repairs. Perform annual evaluations and administer training for production employees. Monitor employee performance, coach, council, motivate, and discipline as necessary. Secure and lock facility when applicable. Enforce all company policies and regulations. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner as required by procedure. Position Summary:
Responsible for manufacturing at acceptably efficient levels, meeting production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining employee morale, and any employee relation issues.
Essential Functions:
Enforce safety regulations, investigate accidents, complete accident reports as required and eliminate potential and actual safety hazards. Maintain a complete understanding of emergency response plans in the event of spills or other similar disasters. Must adhere to the specific facilities safety process and procedures and follow all PPE requirements.
Report all safety injuries and incidents to your supervisor and EH&S department immediately. Ensure production quality expectations are met.
Responsible for understanding all aspects of production schedule.
Understand shift production requirements and hold daily meetings to share information with direct reports. Assign employees to specific work stations and tasks.
Advise management of equipment and staffing requirements. Maintain housekeeping standards. Interface with other supervisors on all operations, staffing, and miscellaneous issues. Run daily cycle counts. Assure the following shift is properly stocked with supplies and that materials are in sufficient quantities on the production floor to assure a smooth start-up. Responsible for ensuring ISO standards and procedures are followed.
Review and approve timecard hours in the timekeeping system by 8:30am every Monday morning.
Communicate improper equipment operation or downtime to maintenance and coordinate required repairs. Perform annual evaluations and administer training for production employees. Input inventory transactions and monitor LN for accuracy. Monitor employee performance, coach, council, motivate, and discipline as necessary. Secure and lock facility when applicable. Enforce all company policies and regulations. Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner as required by procedure. Responsible for physical inventory, directs cycle counting, and full physical inventories when required. May be required to train and certify employees on proper use of forklifts. Perform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, or 2 years Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree preferred Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules.
Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Physical Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities: Develop Standard Work for all injection molding processes and support activities and help train leaders in each functional area. Establish and maintain internal specifications and process documentation for injection molding processes and tooling ensuring processes and procedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees. Justify and generate capital expense proposals and manage capital projects for new machinery, automation and tooling. Drive continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through team participation in tiered meetings and plant management processes to improve resource utilization, performance and quality. Work to capture and report machine cycle data across all key injection molding equipment using Industry 4.0 concepts and an internal web-based OEE software platform. Work closely with Product Development and Manufacturing to incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principals into all injection molded parts and assemblies. Oversee specification, quotation and procurement of new or modified/repaired tooling. Establish optimum machine cycle parameters for new or modified tooling and machine combinations. Resolve technical tooling and process problems associated with both new and existing tooling.
Hands-on technical resource for shop floor support when necessary. Monitor and report issues with injection molds; make recommendations for refurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability, and tooling history. Serve as focal point for custom molding applications, providing customer quotations and technical support. Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environment, and ergonomics efforts.
