Our team is responsible for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children We Look After (CWLA), including care proceedings, pre-proceedings, and private proceedings.
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Managing a caseload of 20-22 children, focusing on long-term involvement rather than duty-based work.
Support & Advocacy: Providing ongoing support and advocacy for adults, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard in all processes.
Legal Proceedings: Handling care proceedings, pre-proceedings, and private proceedings with the highest level of professionalism and care.
Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with other professionals, agencies, and families to develop and implement effective care plans that promote safety and well-being.
Continuous Monitoring: Regularly reviewing cases to ensure that Children are receiving the appropriate level of support and adjusting care plans as necessary.
Requirements:We are looking for a Social Worker who:
Holds a degree in Social Work and is registered with Social Work England.
Enhanced DBS.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of CIN, CP, and CWLA processes, including care proceedings.
Lives within a reasonable commuting distance to St.
Helens, ensuring regular and consistent involvement with the team and service users.
