My client, a building materials company is looking to hire a Branch Manager.
The successful candidate must be results driven and strive to meet and exceed sales and profitability for the store.
As a Store Manager you should inspire your team by leading a customer centric agenda from the front and promote and deliver high performance on learning and development in a positive environment.
Responsibilities:
Day to day management of all operational and administrative issues within the branch.
This includes but not limited to the opening and closing the store as well as staff rostering and the security of both the store and your teamReviewing purchasing agreements with vendors
You will manage and be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned business targets, sales budgets, KPIs and discount, cost control, demonstrating ambition and profit focus.
You are a people manager as well as a Branch Manager Designate.
Remember you are responsible for the well being of your team.
You are responsible for Learning and Development.
You must be able to identify their training needs & to act upon it, regular performance reviews, having that open and honest conversation if needed, also to manage any areas of under performance.
The store manager is responsible for managing merchandising and stock levels within the store.
As well as being accountable for stock loss and stock takes.
Analyse and interpret trends by keeping an eye on the market, to include visiting local competitors' stores and keeping an eye on media channels.
Looking out always for opportunity to improve your overall stores performance.
Ensure world class levels of customer service from the team as a whole.
Fully understand your customer needs and requirements.
Ensure your store is always presented to the best of its ability for your customers and your team alike.
Walk the floor regularly with your team and customers in order to hear their opinions of your store.
Responsible for health and safety within the store, this includes but is not limited to security issues and breaches.
For any HR concerns, remember you are first point of contact for your team.
Ensure you start any conversation with the correct procedures and policies in mind.
Counsel, advise and instruct/ train your team in all policies and procedures; this includes but not limited to HR, H & S etc.
Ensure that you are familiar with all HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Lead by a positive example always.
Your team look to you as their leader and the customers look to you as the head of the store.
Financial Responsibilities
Managing your profit and loss account, store KPI's, cash (all elements around this), accountability for stock takes, stock discrepancies
Experience & Skills Required:
A strong knowledge of building materials and the construction industry is necessary
Previous experience in high management level
Excellent customer service relationship builder with a passion for providing world-class customer and service delivery
Excellent communication, leadership and training skills
Strong and motivated leader who is able to lead by example with a result focus.
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and ability to work to tight deadlines.
A self-starter with resilience and a passion to succeed both personally and organisationally
Business minded, change orientated and pro-active
Excellent influencer at all organisational levels, including the ability to develop credibility quickly with senior managers/decision makers

THE PERSON
Must have experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills

Purpose of Role
To assist in the co-ordination of the sourcing of plant and materials purchased directly by company and to support the Purchasing Department in his role.
Responsibilities
Materials Procurement
Promptly place orders with suppliers & ensure Project Managers & QSs are kept up to date on delivery.
Obtain best prices from suppliers for items needed, obtaining a minimum of 3 quotations for bespoke materials
Monitor project staff compliance with the Materials Procurement Policy
Assist with the invoice and credit note process and maintain good communication with Suppliers and Accounts department
Maintain accurate file & email storage to ensure proper and timely payment of invoices.
Safety Health & Environmental
Ensure that all materials & equipment purchased by the company comply with the relevant safety standards.
Ensure Material Safety Data Sheets are obtained where required; where appropriate, seek advice from the Safety Manager regarding health & safety or environmental implications of materials and equipment purchased.
Other
Maintain the Warehouse & Stores areas (assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries, driving the forklift, keeping such areas clean and tidy)
Assist Estimating Department on pricing as required.
Ensure the movement of materials and plant to and from the Warehouse is properly accounted for.
Assist the Travel Co-Ordinator with booking flights and accommodation when needed.
Provide support to project sites as and when required.
Assist HR Team by facilitating procurement inductions to new hires.

The Architect & Engineer Business Specialist is instrumental in enhancing Rust-Oleum's market presence by ensuring our products are specified in architectural, engineering, and design projects.
This role is pivotal in driving sales and developing strong relationships with key industry stakeholders to meet strategic goals aligned with the Professional Channel.
This role will be remote.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and sustain relationships with architects, engineers, and design professionals to secure product specifications in various projects. Leverage digital tools, educational outreach, and direct engagement to increase product specifications and maintain Rust-Oleum's position as a leader in the industry. Collaborate closely with area managers and the specialist teams to identify target markets, synchronize strategies, and monitor progress using CRM tools. Develop client relationships and strengthen industry partnerships. Design, test, and deploy solutions, as well as provide training, documentation, or feedback to the clients, stakeholders, or users.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience. Proven track record in sales or marketing, ideally within the architectural, engineering, or design industries. Strong skills in networking and relationship management. Proficiency in digital technology and online marketing strategies. Exceptional presentation and communication abilities.
