Events & Operations Lead - Global Tech Co


  • Events and Operations Lead

  • Up to £273 per day PAYE which equates to an annual salary of £71,000pa

  • Maternity Cover

  • Initial contract until 30th June 2024 but subject to performance and budget will be extending for a full duration of 18 months

  • 100% remote working



Working for a Global Technology Company we are seeking an experienced Events and Operations Lead to work within the Marketing and Consumer Business to manage and evolve the event execution for the EMEA Region.

You'll work with an outsourced team of event specialists who will plan, set up and deliver Digital & In-Person events aligned to the Global Event Strategy.



Event Strategy & Tools



  • Engage with global & regional event stakeholders to plan, schedule & execute all approved marketing events for the region

  • Connect weekly with EMEA event stakeholders including Regional Integrating Marketing Lead(s) and the CMO Events Lead(s)

  • Lead event & marketing content localization reviews across EMEA

  • Ensure outsourced service capacity is appropriately optimized and located to support both digital & in-person execution

  • Attend selected in-person and digital events to ensure we maintain the high quality and standards required.

  • Contribute to Global Event Strategy by partnering with the Regional Integrated Marketing Lead, to provide timely and relevant regional insights

  • Develop event templates that outline the execution approach, operational checklists, and post-event learnings to enable future event standardization & improvement

  • Provide execution feedback and requirements to evolve Global Event MarTech platform capabilities


Outsourced Service & Supplier Engagement



  • Engage with event execution outsourced services & suppliers

  • Maintain detailed operational documentation - service scope, execution processes, RACI, SLAs etc

  • Deliver operational consistency and best practice across EMEA event operations through a deep partnership with other Event Operations & Execution Leads

  • Ensure that suppliers continually provide ongoing training to their staff and maintain high levels of operational readiness



Skills and experience required:



  • 5-10 years of marketing experience, ideally in international B2B environments for large blue-chip organisations

  • Solid experience managing Event Operations with experience using a digital events platform - ideally ON24 but any is good

  • Experience of working with Event agencies & operations

  • BA/BS or MS Degree in Marketing, Business, Operations, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
