IT Director / Head of IT

Industry: Luxury Hospitality / Hotels & Resorts / Restaurants

Location: Cape Verde, West Africa

Salary: Basic + benefits.

Missions

You will be responsible for the management, maintenance of the computer park, server operation, system and network administration, project delivery, etc.

• Ensuring the inventory of computer hardware and software are always up to date
• Budget preparation operations, purchase launch and implementation schedule
• Installing PCs and peripherals when needed
• Ensuring safety of installation and of all IT related equipment across the operations  
• Deployments of standard software and business applications
• Hardware and software maintenance;
• Configuration and installation of new hardware and software
• User support and troubleshooting
• Special monitoring of backup jobs and their proper completion
• File restoration when needed
• Writing procedures and user manuals
• Recording of incidents and follow ups
• Creation of user profiles, administration of remote access, management of access rights and passwords
• Technical support on the desktop environment
• Support and assistance in the preparation of internal meeting rooms if IT needs are expressed
• May be required to intervene in the room from time to time to help a client.
• Technology watch
• Provide insights to the management and executives for the development of the IT across the operations (improvement, efficiency, better systems, etc)

Qualifications

• Experience as an IT Manager / IT Director (or similar) in the hotel industry (or related)
• Dynamic and operational nature; Be a hands-on man/woman.
• An excellent level of English and be able to express yourself easily with technical terms in English
• Portuguese as a second language an advantage
• Be service-oriented and understand that the hotel is your main customer.
• Mastering tools and different IT systems
• Demonstrate good analytical, organizational and responsive skills
• Know how to prioritize tasks and manage multiple queries.
• Be autonomous, patient, flexible and available
• Experience in multi-site an advantage
