An opportunity for a Centreless Grinder to join a Global Business, that produces aero engine components which include air foils, rings, disks, and forgings.

Our client has already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another major contract and thus are looking to add a Centreless Grinder on a Permanent Contract.

The role of Centreless Grinder :

• Machine setting and grinding.


• Ensuring that components meet the drawing specification and quality standards.


• Daily maintenance of equipment.


• Reading micrometres.


• Ability to work to and maintain strict timescales efficiently.


• Use of lifting equipment including slinging experience/Overhead Crane/Forklift.

Keen to speak Centreless Grinder's :

• Ability to utilise metric and imperial measuring equipment.
  
  


• Preparing various metal components to precise and accurate
  tolerances, upholding attention to detail.


• Use a variety of methods including use of bandsaws to cut macro.
  
  
  test pieces and ultrasound discards from metal components to
  ensure orders are free from discrepancies.
  
  


• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  
  


• Ability to calibrate critical measuring equipment.

The offer for the role of Centreless Grinder :

• Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
