Family Contact Worker

Job Description

Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a Family contact worker, for borough council.

Trafford borough Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• To carry a caseload of vulnerable children and young people (0-16 aged) and their families that requires supervised contact, to ensure safeguarding of the children and young people is apriority at all times.


• To plan and hold contact sessions for cases children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority in either the Contact Centre in Trafford, in the community, or outside of the borough as required.


• To organise and co-ordinate contacts activities e.g.
  
  cinema within the community ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place and adhered to.


• To work with vulnerable children and young people that have either witnessed or been a victim of domestic violence, neglect, physical, sexual and emotional abuse who may have severe emotional and behavioural issues.

Essential criteria

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent


• 1 years' experience working in a relevant environment.
