Maintenance Engineer Huddersfield, UK

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Huddersfield.

As Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure continuous and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance work including electrical and mechanical tasks


• Diagnosing faults and failures with equipment and systems


• Repairing and replacing defective parts and components


• Conducting repairs during breakdowns and restoring equipment operations


• Maintaining maintenance logs and documentation


• Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures


• Liaising with production teams regarding planned maintenance schedules


• Identifying improvements to increase efficiency and lifecycle of equipment

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment as a maintenance engineer or technician.

You will have a bias towards electrical maintenance but also capable of general mechanical tasks.

Have excellent fault-finding skills and be used to working with minimum supervision.

Strong communication skills are also required to coordinate with internal teams.

This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday 3pm - 10.15pm.

Salary £53,000 - £59,500 per annum depending on experience.
