We are currently on the hunt for a dedicated and understanding SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School situated in Kilburn, North West London.

The role would be working in a Year 1 Class and is due to commence in September.

Responsibilities:


As an integral part of your SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will play a pivotal role in providing invaluable support.

Your key responsibilities will consist of:



  • Nurturing student's social and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and harmonious school community.

  • Working alongside the teaching team to establish and maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEN.

  • Facilitating student's access to the curriculum, adapting / differentiating materials as necessary.

  • Establishing strong partnerships with parents and other colleagues to ensure a co-ordinated approach to support.

  • Monitoring and tracking student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.


  • Requirements:


    - Previous experience working with children in any capacity is beneficial, experience working with students with SEN is highly advantageous.


    - A genuine passion to work in the field of education and supporting students with special educational needs.


    - The ability to work collaboratively as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a supportive team environment.


    - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of students.


    - Demonstrating patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach.


    - Adding value to both the wider community of the school and forming positive relationships with staff and students alike.
