JOB DESCRIPTION



Tremco Construction Products Group brings together Tremco CPG Inc.'s Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing and Roofing & Building Maintenance divisions; Tremco Barrier Solutions Inc.; Dryvit, Nudura and Willseal brands; Prebuck LLC; Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc.; Weatherproofing Technologies Canada and PureAir Control Services, Inc.

Altogether, Tremco CPG companies operate 21 manufacturing facilities, 6 distribution sites, and 3 R&D/technology sites, and employ more than 2,700 people across North America.




GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Assist business strategy department in gathering and presenting competitive information and research for targeted construction business segments to guide future planning initiatives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an understanding of Tremco products and categories relating to customer benefits and uses, their value proposition, and how they compare to competitive or alternate products and solutions.
  • Conduct research into targeted construction business segments for Tremco and report out on findings and insights to help formulate future planning, including:
    • Segment overview & outline
    • Key decision makers & behavior profile
    • Competitive landscape
    • Factors for success
    • Segments include:
      • Residential/Insulated Concrete Forms
      • Restoration
      • Firestopping
  • Create product mapping of Tremco categories / product lines compared to competition to identify product gaps for business development targeting.
  • Learn to use the SpecLive specification reporting tool and generate spec rate reports as requested.
  • Generate SAP sales reports to track category & customer growth patterns.
  • Write and submit project requests to Marcom department for collateral needs.
  • Assist Retail Program Product Manager with project task completion, as needed.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
  • High School graduate or equivalent; enrolled in higher education coursework at a credited University or College



EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Prior work in marketing preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction



OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and listening).
  • Ability to conduct research.
  • Attention to detail, organization and time management skills.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 10 lbs.





BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:


This is an hourly, full-time, temporary position from approximately June - August.

The hourly rate for applicants in this position starts at $17.00 and increases for returning students and rising completion years of study (i.e.

sophomore, junior, senior, etc.) This rate is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
