Wireperson

The company, a full system life-cycle manufacturer of secure communication systems, antennas, image technology and embedded computing are looking for a Wireperson to join their growing team in Tewkesbury.

Their products can be found transmitting high bandwidth data across hostile terrain, enabling secure ticket sales on trains, processing colossal amounts of data or gathering scientific insight in the cold and crushing depths of the ocean floor!

The successful Wireperson will be joining a company that really care about their staff, placing safety as their number one priority.

Wireperson responsibilities 

- Hands-on Wiring: Assemble and wire electronic equipment and control panels according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Harness & Component Integration: Build wiring harnesses and looms, then integrate various electronic and electro-mechanical components following mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure completed wiring and cabling meet relevant quality standards.

Report any design or material non-conformances.
- Documentation & Improvement: Mark up drawings for design updates based on prototypes.

Conduct quality checks, inspections, and record findings of completed wiring.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Test completed wiring and sub-assemblies for functionality, troubleshoot any issues, and interpret schematics to document wiring layouts.

- Equipment & Compliance: Utilize appropriate test equipment (e.g., digital multimeters) and adhere to company policies regarding safety, environment, quality, and record keeping.

Wireperson experience 

- Hands-on experience building wiring harnesses and looms.
- Proven ability to assemble and wire electronic equipment and control panels.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring schedules.
- Possesses a broad knowledge of various connector and cable types.
- Familiar with electrical, electronic, and computer components.
- Adheres to industry wiring standards like IPC/WHMA-A-620.
