Senior Product Manager - Melbourne

The Role


This is a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to provide significant impact through the identification, development and launch of products and services to the core segments of the business.

You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure that products that are developed provide strong identified value and deliver a commercial outcome that supports the business's financial plans and meet the needs of B2B and B2C customers as relevant.


The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for achieving product and financial targets for the products that they manage, identifying opportunities to maximise the performance of their portfolio.

Supporting the Product Director to drive commercial and cultural change, the Senior Product Manager will leverage their excellent commercial acumen coupled with robust product methodology to deliver products to market, while building product management capability across the business.

This is a strategic-focused role with delivery components, with Senior Product Managers required to be hands-on while also overseeing their portfolio and leading, training and developing a team of three.



Key Accountabilities:



  • Utilise product development management methodologies to develop new services and products from market inception through to execution and launch.

  • Develop product strategies and roadmaps informed by value chains of key segments, working with Experience Design teams to establish a comprehensive understanding of customer segments.

  • Undertake competitor and market analysis to identify and support product strategy and roadmaps.

  • Develop robust business cases that are supported by customer/industry engagement and data analysis.

  • Develop value propositions of services that enable sales and marketing teams to communicate real value succinctly and effectively.

  • Work with business analysts and technology teams to build detailed product requirements that support technology development and work closely with delivery teams to build and launch products and features.

  • Work with UX Designers and other cross-functional teams to establish customer personas, research plans, UX artefacts and UI designs.

  • Work with the sales, marketing and operations teams to develop go-to-market strategies and execution plans.

  • Accountability for product revenue and cost reduction.

    ,Develop financial (revenue/margin/volume) reporting and product metrics for the segment that is made available on an appropriate periodic basis.

  • Lead a team of Product Managers, responsible for coaching and developing team members in a supportive environment.



To be successful for the role you will have:



  • Experience in managing a product portfolio, with evidenced experience developing and launching new products

  • Experience building digital products with technology delivery teams, UX/UI designers and go-to-market teams

  • Proven experience of managing a product from ideation to launch and all the stages in-between

  • Strong commercial acumen, evidenced by experience hitting financial targets

  • Solid understanding of Product management Methodology

  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory or transformation environments with high levels of ambiguity would be desirable
