Neighbourhood Officer/Housing Officer
Temporary (3 Month Contract, Likely to Extend)
Ipswich - Babergh District
Driving License and Basic DBS Required

Our client, a Local Authority based in Ipswich, is looking for a Neighbourhood Officer to start immediately.

As a Neighbourhood Officer your role will include:

• Providing an effective proactive neighbourhood management service


• Being responsible for the management of communal spaces, facilities and HRA land within Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts with a focus on the health, safety and the welfare of residents


• Supporting colleagues within the Housing Service to provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints and develop service improvements based on customer feedback.


• Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure housing communities remain places where people want to live and lead healthy and independent lives


• Be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods and communities identifiable and recognisable by residents.


• Managing your own diary and caseloads

Requirements:

• Experience - must be able to hit the ground running


• Have solid experience of working in a relevant specialist area which could include housing, estate management or community work


• Have a flexible approach to the role and pick up work outside of one's own specialism


• Be committed to providing a high level of customer service


• Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
