A local authority in North London is recruiting for a Sustainable Housing Support Worker to join our Street Homelessness Accommodation Team in Enfield.

You will provide housing support services across three distinct supported housing projects: Housing First, Dispersed Self-Contained Flats, and Shared Accommodation.

The Role
As a Sustainable Housing Support Worker, you will be a key part of our Street Homelessness Accommodation Team, delivering vital support to individuals with multiple and complex needs.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Delivering proactive support to applicants to help them access and maintain accommodation.


• Managing a caseload and ensuring all support work complies with legislation, safeguarding policies, and procedures.


• Collaborating with internal and external partners to improve outcomes for applicants.


• Ensuring all service user documentation is up-to-date and accurately entered into various IT systems.


• Contributing to efficient service delivery both as an individual and as part of a team, in accordance with local policies, procedures, and legislation.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this Sustainable Housing Support Worker role will be ambitious, proactive, and ready for a new challenge.
You must possess strong communication and creative problem-solving skills, along with the drive and passion to support vulnerable individuals.

Additionally, you will need:

• A good knowledge of welfare, housing, and homelessness practice.


• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.


• Willingness to work outside of office hours on occasion.


• Experience in managing a caseload and working within safeguarding policies and procedures.

The Contract

• Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm


• Contract Length: 24th June 2024 to 15th September 2024
