A local authority in Nottingham is recruiting for a Gateway, Temporary and Supported Accommodation Manager to be responsible for ensuring that the Council's duties in respect to the provision of temporary and emergency accommodation are fulfilled, ensuring that suitable offers of temporary and permanent accommodation are provided for Housing Solutions customers in compliance with homelessness legislation



The Role


The Gateway, Temporary & Supported Accommodation Manager will ensure the Council's responsibilities regarding temporary and emergency accommodation are met.

This includes securing suitable housing solutions, managing the Temporary & Supported Accommodation Team, and leading the Homelessness Gateway.



  • Operational responsibility for ensuring sufficient temporary accommodation provision, including sourcing emergency options.

  • Managing the Temporary & Supported Accommodation Team to comply with homelessness legislation and meet household needs.

  • Leading the Homelessness Gateway, securing placements from housing and support providers.

  • Working with commissioners to establish targets and outcomes for housing providers, monitoring performance and ensuring effective partnerships.

  • Providing advice and assistance on homelessness prevention and leading relevant development projects.



The Candidate


The ideal candidate for this Gateway, Temporary and Supported Accommodation Manager role will will have a strong background in service leadership within a complex organisation, with a focus on delivering outcomes and continuous improvement.



  • Experience in leading high-performing teams and empowering others.

  • Proven ability to drive change and innovate service delivery models.

  • Strong collaborative skills, with evidence of successful partnerships across different sectors.

The Contract



  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

  • Contract Length: 24th June 2024 to 15th September 2024
