Overview

Based in the heart of Basingstoke, we are seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong background in automotive/aerospace engineering and expertise in CNC machining and precision manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused mind set, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

As a Sales Engineer, you will oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact to after-sales support, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities

- Utilize automotive/aerospace engineering knowledge to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing exceptional support throughout the sales process
- Raise customer quotations, sales orders, and review contract documentation
- Oversee timelines and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with production capabilities
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve the sales process and enhance customer satisfaction.

Sales Engineer Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience in a CNC machining and precision manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of automotive/aerospace engineering principles and applications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Customer-focused mind set with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Sales Engineer Day-to-Day

- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to generate customer quotations and process sales orders
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on order status and ensure satisfaction
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the sales process
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
