Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Manager in Preston
Are you a motivated and enthusiastic professional looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Our client, a leading independent equipment hire company in the Northwest, is seeking a dynamic Deputy Manager to join their busy depot in Preston.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8 am – 5 pm + Rotational Saturdays: 8 am – 12 pm

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Depot Manager in daily operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Oversee all depot operations in the absence of the Depot Manager.
- Handle open quotations and minimise late cash hires.
- Address initial loss damages and maintain stock levels.
- Optimise transport planning for the depot.
- Assist the Sales Hire Controller with order processing.
- Achieve contract conversion rates above 85%.
- Ensure all equipment is hired only after proper inspection.
- Manage telephone communications effectively.
- Enhance Hire Protect Sales.
- Meet and contribute to depot and overall sales targets.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience in depot or sales roles and a clear understanding of the responsibilities of a Deputy Manager.

They should be a dedicated team player with a focus on the overall success of the depot.
