Service Care Solutions is assisting Total People, one of the UK's leading apprenticeship providers, with their recruitment for a dedicated and experienced Curriculum and Performance Manager.

This role is essential for the day-to-day delivery of the curriculum, management of learning coaches, and ensuring effective operation of end-to-end learner journey processes, curriculum design and innovation, learner progression, and maintaining high-quality provision.



Job Purpose


The Curriculum and Performance Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring the effective operation of learner journey processes, and maintaining the quality of provision.

This includes managing learning coaches, developing and innovating the curriculum, and ensuring learner progression.



Key Accountabilities

  • Line Management: Oversee learning coaches, ensuring caseloads and cohorts meet learner-to-staff ratios.

  • Performance Reviews: Conduct monthly performance reviews focused on learner experience and quality outcomes.

  • Learner Support: Ensure effective CIAG, initial assessment, and induction for all learners.

  • Retention Monitoring: Scrutinise and monitor learner retention, taking action where necessary.

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement an innovative curriculum with supporting schemes of work and resources.

  • Standardisation Meetings: Hold quarterly meetings to ensure consistency across the curriculum and share good practices.

  • Assessment Coordination: Plan and coordinate assessments, exams, and EPA, ensuring compliance with awarding organisations.

  • Work Scrutiny: Conduct monthly reviews of planning, delivery, marking, and feedback to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

  • Skill Embedding: Embed English, maths, and ICT/digital skills delivery across the curriculum.

  • Classroom Sessions: Plan and timetable off-the-job delivery/classroom sessions.

  • Policy Integration: Ensure Prevent, British Values, Safeguarding, and EDI are embedded into delivery.

  • Special Educational Support: Ensure learners with special educational needs receive required support.



Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Education (Level 4) or equivalent (or working towards it).

  • Vocational experience in one curriculum area of responsibility (Level 3).

  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.


Desirable Qualifications:



  • PGCE.

  • QTLS.

  • Management qualification.


Essential Experience:



  • Experience in creating and delivering high-quality learning programs.
