Structural Design Engineer

One of UK's leading structural steel companies is seeking an Experienced Structural Design Engineer to manage projects and contribute to their growth.

Location: West Yorkshire
Start Date: Immediate
Salary Rate: £45,000
Responsibilities

• Manage projects from design to completion, ensuring all aspects meet client requirements and project goals.


• Work independently, raising queries and coordinating information with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.


• Work within design budgets and adhere to QA procedures.


• Report to the Head of Design and attend meetings.


• Liaise with other departments to meet project demands.


• Assist in training graduate design engineers.


• Maintain great working relationships with clients to achieve excellent feedback.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business and share our principles and goals with staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural steelwork design experience, including knowledge of relevant design codes and design software.


• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and ideally working towards incorporated or chartered status.


• Experience in steelwork member design and connections.


• Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, and MasterSeries design software.


• Experience in designing temporary works is a plus.
