Embedded Software Design Engineer

A brilliant new opportunity is available for an Embedded Software Design Engineer to join our Client's Team based in Hertfordshire, who are a world leading design and manufacturing organisation.

Reporting into the R&D / Development Manager, the Embedded Software Design Engineer in Hertfordshire, will be responsible for creating innovative product solutions within a multi-disciplinary team environment, leading the development of automated test equipment and enhance our (currently manual) product testing processes and working with a wide group of excited and experienced product designers.

Other responsibilities will include:

O Designing, implementing, and maintaining product firmware for robust embedded systems, optimizing on a per-project basis.

O Designing and implementing comprehensive automated testing frameworks into the product development lifecycle.

O Developing and maintaining test scripts and tools for repetitive tasks.

O Adhering to coding conventions/standards and participate in collaborative code reviews.

O Researching and developing design concepts into working prototypes, using prototyping capabilities in-house and suppliers as appropriate.

The Embedded Software Design Engineer in Hertfordshire, will have the following:

O Electronics / Embedded Systems / Software based Engineering Degree or equivalent.

O Proven track record in full-cycle product design and development.

O Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.

O Skilled in using oscilloscope/DMM/logic analyser for debugging and signal analysis.
