Semi Senior Accountant

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Salary: £27k - £30k + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client is a reputable accountancy firm, specialising in professional bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and VAT services.

The Role:

As a Semi Senior Accountant, youll prepare and review year-end accounts and manage accurate financial records, including reconciliations and ledgers.

Responsibilities:



* Manage payroll and pension contributions, ensuring compliance with regulations.


* Handle VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.


* Use accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks effectively.


* Support senior accountants with audits, financial reporting, and ad hoc tasks.


* Develop and sustain strong client relationships, offering professional advice.


* Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.


* Aid in the training and development of junior staff members.


Requirements:



* Previously worked as an Accountant or in a similar role.


* Possess 3+ years of experience in an accountancy practice.


* ACCA part-qualified and working towards full qualification.


* Familiarity with year-end accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll.


* Skilled in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
