Rate: £35 LTD per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a senior Housing Resettlement Operations Manager to oversee our housing and wider corporate response to the resettlement of former asylum seekers granted leave to remain and individuals of Chagossian descent granted British citizenship.

This is a temporary role with an initial contract of three months, with a strong likelihood of extension.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping these individuals settle in and around Crawley.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Unified Approach and Statutory Compliance:

    • Ensure a unified approach that meets the statutory duties.

    • Foster effective partnerships with other statutory agencies and the voluntary sector to address broader needs.



  • Workflow Management:

    • Manage and coordinate the assessment and processing workflow for individuals seeking housing assistance.

    • Lead a team to effectively deploy available resources.



  • Temporary Accommodation and Housing Procurement:

    • Oversee the procurement of temporary accommodation and private sector housing options to meet the needs of resettling individuals.



  • Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Demonstrate a collaborative leadership style, working closely with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.

    • Generate and implement creative solutions to address housing and resettlement challenges.





Qualifications and Experience:



  • Extensive knowledge of homelessness legislation and service delivery.

  • Proven experience in temporary accommodation procurement.

  • A strong track record of leadership and management in a complex environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
