A leading local independent is now looking for a Pharmacist to join the team, supporting convenient and high-quality community services for Southend-on-Sea.

The pharmacy has a great reputation in the area, with the team well-known for being highly knowledgeable about their field and always ready to help with visitors’ concerns.

Close to primary care services, amenities and public transport links as well, the pharmacy is therefore a popular choice for many to go to for prescriptions, advice, and additional services for a varied range of health needs.

You would be joining a strong team of support professionals and an established Pharmacist colleague, which will enable you to focus more on additional services and engaging with visitors directly.

Available services currently include Pharmacy First, emergency medicines, flu vaccinations, healthy lifestyle support and more, and with the pharmacy seeing plenty of activity – averaging c.

19-20,000 items per month – there is a lot of scope for you to enhance and expand the services available and build closer relationships with the nearby primary care services.

There is therefore a lot of potential for CPD, and your successes will be rewarded through a performance-based bonus scheme as well.

This is a permanent role, ideally full-time (40h) but part-time can also be considered.

Person specification:

• (Essential) Accredited MPharm degree, OSPAP qualification or equivalent
• (Essential) Registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacist
