Warehouse Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION



GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist with Inventory control.

Check and assist in loading and/or unloading of freight.

Obtain proper authorizations for all deliveries and pick-ups.

Perform warehouse duties to include picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory counts.

Assist Facility Manager with other operations as needed.


Primary duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Assist with loading trailer according to bills of lading.

    The trailer should be loaded in order that best accommodates deliveries/stops.
  • Ensure picking/shipping orders are pulled and packed within the time frame specified on the appropriate company document/pick ticket.
  • Ensure materials received during the day are entered/received the same day and the appropriate paperwork is relayed to the correct departments.
  • Ensure the warehouse is replenished daily.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels at all times.

  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Will cross train in other departments and perform these duties as assigned.
  • Assisting with cycle counts as needed.
  • Back-order reports and communicating with customers on status.

Experience and Education Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Exposure to pick, pack, receiving, shipping, and Hazardous Material knowledge operations preferred
  • Prior experience working within manufacturing environment preferred.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional environment with frequent interruptions to daily schedule.
  • Good math and measurement skills required.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills required.

Reasoning Ability
  • Determine correctness of a variety of processes in relation to specified guidelines learned during initial training and during any ongoing training.
  • Ability to identify areas in which the positions, duties and responsibilities may need to be adjusted for efficiencies.
  • Work without continuous supervision while completing assigned tasks.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Successfully complete RPM Wood Finishes Group forklift operation training and receive forklift operation license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment is diverse in that drivers/warehouse is in different locations throughout the facility within a given shift as well as in customers' and supplier's facilities while performing the job tasks listed in this description.

The work environment is representative of those an employee would encounter in a normal warehouse environment with exposure to both heat and cold.

The noise level is usually moderate.
