Hours: 26.5 p/w
Salary: £20,405 + £2100 weighting

Purpose of the Role:

As a Family Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing family services at HMP Coldingley on an interim basis.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing casework, visitor center services, play and children's services, and supporting family groupwork interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Family Support: Provide advice, guidance, and support to prisoners and their families to maintain or enhance positive relationships.


• Case Management: Conduct assessments and develop referral pathways for families to access appropriate services.


• Visitor Center Services: Manage the visitor center, ensuring it is open, staffed, and provides accurate information to visitors.


• Children's Services: Lead and deliver high-quality services for children of prisoners, including facilitated play sessions and risk assessments.


• People Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, volunteers, and student placements.


• Local Service Delivery: Develop and implement the local operational plan, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.


• Partnership Working: Collaborate with prison staff, departments, and external agencies to enhance family services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and its impact on prisoners and families.


• Experience working with diverse groups of people, including vulnerable women and children.


• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.


• Ability to work in a challenging environment and manage a demanding workload.


• Experience in casework, safeguarding, and health and safety.
