The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive component cataloguing and parts classification services.

The role demands a strong technical background, ideally within the automotive sector, and familiarity with cataloguing systems such as XChecker, Elcome, TecDoc, partsLink24, and Autocat.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Pension + 23 days holiday + Free On-Site Parking + Employee Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately input, update, and maintain product information in various cataloguing systems.


• Conduct detailed technical analysis of automotive components to ensure accurate and comprehensive cataloguing.


• Classify automotive parts according to established industry standards and internal guidelines.


• Perform quality checks on catalogued data to ensure accuracy and completeness.


• Work closely with other team members to ensure consistent and accurate product data.


• Utilise and navigate cataloguing systems such as XChecker, Elcome, TecDoc, partsLink24, and Autocat efficiently.


• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and manuals related to catalogued products.


• Provide technical support to customers regarding product information and cataloguing queries.

Experience:

• Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical cataloguing or similar role within the automotive industry.


• Proven experience with cataloguing systems such as XChecker, Elcome, TecDoc, partsLink24, and Autocat.


• Strong understanding of automotive components and their functions.

Skills:

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).


• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
