Role summary -


Are you detail-oriented with a passion for procurement? Our client is seeking a Procurement Assistant to join their dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist in coordinating and monitoring procurement activities, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and contributing to the efficient use of resources across the company.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in implementing the Corporate Procurement Strategy and Code of Practice.

  • Support procurement projects, focusing on value for money and legal compliance.

  • Help with high-value procurement projects and corporate procurement exercises.

  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of e-procurement systems.

  • Ensure procurement activities align with best practices, policies, and UK legislation.

  • Provide quality advice and support to officers, members, and stakeholders.


Requirements:



  • Degree or formal management qualification (e.g., MBA/DMS) (Desirable).

  • Experience in procurement, particularly within the public sector, and a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage projects and follow strict timelines.

  • Proficient in IT, particularly MS Office, with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
