Administrator

One of the leading educational establishments in North Wales, has an opportunity for a Bilingual Administrator to join its friendly team based in Bangor or Llangefni in a temporary full time position up until the end of December 2024.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be supporting the team delivering all aspects of administration duties to meet their diverse and dynamic needs. 

As an Administrator your main responsibilities will be to:


  • Maintain an effective electronic filing system ensuring that paperwork is fully completed in accordance with the project's requirements.
  • Organise internal and external meetings as well as other specific events.
  • Record the minutes of internal and external meetings and ensure they are available to relevant members of the team.
  • Contact and communicate with external and internal individuals (on the phone, face to face and electronically), ensuring a courteous, prompt and coherent service to members of the public, stakeholders and learners.
  • Develop administrative systems and arrangements for new developments, as demand arises, and lead the continuous improvement of existing systems.
  • Ensure that consumables are recorded, ordered and purchased in an effective manner.

    This will include communicating with other departments including Estates and ICT regarding specific equipment.
  • Timely processing of hourly paid staff timesheets and related pay claims, ensuring accurate monitoring and recording.
  • Manage your own work schedule so that work is prioritised, deadlines are met and meeting minutes are completed promptly.
  • Use the internal translation and proofreading service (TROSI) to have relevant documents translated as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as required.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties that are in line with the purpose of the job, as agreed with
    the Line Manager.

We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills and experience:


  • Experience within an administrative role including diary management and minute taking.
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (essential)
  • Educated to level 3 with a good general standard of education to include GCSE at Grade C, or above, in English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office and google suite
  • Ability to work as a team member and be flexible, adaptable, and approachable
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Ability to cope with a range of tasks at any one time and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner
  • A Current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willing to undertake a DBS check is essential

This is a full- time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday until the end of December 2024. In exchange, you will receive an hourly payrate of up to £13 per hour dependent on skills & experience.
