Senior Finance Business Partner

Harper May is collaborating with a leading Healthcare Services company, which is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join its dynamic finance team on a 9 month FTC.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the production of monthly management accounts, conducting financial analysis, and overseeing business planning.

This role involves providing key management information to support effective decision-making across the organisation and its subsidiaries.

This is a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts within agreed timelines.
  • Lead the revamp of the monthly reporting suite, developing improved systems for financial and business planning.
  • Provide costings for new business opportunities and assess the financial viability of existing services, including re-pricing exercises to enhance value for money.
  • Act as a liaison with operational managers to ensure a clear understanding of their areas' financial performance.
  • Collaborate on annual budget and quarterly forecast exercises, supporting both finance and operational teams.
  • Work closely with the System Accountant to deliver accurate reports and maintain appropriate financial controls.
  • Propose and implement procedural changes to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Provide business support and insight that informs management decisions and promotes financial health across the organisation.

Person Specification:


  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/ACMA/MAAT) with at least 6 years' experience.
  • Strong experience in accounting procedures within medium-sized organisations.
  • Proven expertise in management accounts preparation, financial analysis, and business partnering.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, Logical functions).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
