CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist (Programmer, Setter, Operator) - Stockport - £18/hour

A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team with an international footprint in precision engineering across various industries including Aerospace, Automotive and Nuclear power.

This role is varied and diverse with unique products to suit customer needs.

Responsibilities:
, Tool Management and setting of your own machinery.
, Writing your own programs.
, Working closely with production, estimating and sales.
, Maximise the throughput of the machines.
, Maintain machine (daily maintenance checks) and work area.
, Verify work is completed accurately to the drawing and quality standards.

Requirements:
, Time served Apprenticeship.
, Medium to heavy industry experience is an advantage for some machines.
, CNC Machining (5-Axis machining is an advantage, but not critical).
, Tool room/Jig Building background (Preferred).
, Heidenhain (Preferred).
, CNC Milling Machine or Jigboring operation knowledge.
, Interpret drawing and GDT symbols.
, Demonstrate the safe use of cranes.
