A Vehicle Body Builder is required for a company we are working with based in the Kettering area, you would be responsible for undertaking various aspects of vehicle body building and construction on a wide range of vehicle types.

The Vehicle Body Builder is responsible for installing and commissioning various parts and components and working with different materials, hand tools and power tools, during vehicle construction.

We welcome applications for vehicle body builders, boat builders, train/rail fitters, mechanical fitters, fabricator welders with vehicle experience

Key responsibilities of the Vehicle Body Builder include:

• Assisting with the construction of commercial vehicle bodies, as per drawings and specifications provided, using hand tools and power tools.


• Interpreting drawings and schematic layouts drawings.


• Measuring and cutting materials to the correct specifications.


• Fitting, assembling and commissioning components, as required, to specification or drawings.

• Working to deadlines

• Measuring and marking up


• Good time management


• Ability to work to drawings
