UK CAA Licensed B1 & B2 Aircraft Engineers
Holt Executive is excited to partner with a leading aviation technology innovator, renowned for delivering cutting-edge solutions to major commercial aviation companies.
Holt Executive are partnered with a prominent aviation technology pioneer, providing market-leading products to some of the biggest names in commercial aviation.
They are looking for experienced UK CAA Licensed B1 & B2 Aircraft Technicians to perform maintenance on In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems-equipped aircraft. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading IFE systems, cabling, and other key aircraft components.
You will ensure all modifications adhere to the strict regulatory standards set by the UK CAA.
Key Responsibilities for the UK CAA Licensed B1 & B2 Aircraft Engineers:
- Perform Built-In Tests (BIT) and manual tests of IFE systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic components, cabling, or seat consoles, identifying faults down to line replaceable modules using electronic theory knowledge.
- Conduct necessary repairs, including replacing defective modules or cabling to restore functional operation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on aircraft for various airlines.
- Assist Software and Media Loading.
- Assist in troubleshooting system failures and functional testing post-rectification.
Essential Key Skills and Experience Required by the UK CAA Licensed B1 & B2 Aircraft Engineers:
- Must hold a UK CAA B1 licence (with or without type).
- Or must hold a UK CAA B2 license with type rating (one of the following: A320, A330, A350, A380, B737.
B747, B777, B787.
- Must be able to pass a 5-year background check, extensive security, and reference checks for Airside access.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- General knowledge of fundamental electrical Engineer or related experience acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education is highly preferred, but not required.
- IFE or avionics experience is highly preferred, but not essential.
- Must have the ability to climb and work from a ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods.
- Must have the ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
- Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, and manuals and to comprehend and follow verbal instructions in English.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
