Salary: £26,421 - £28,770 per annum pro rata (+ additional weekend enhancement)

Hours: 37 hours per week, with part-time hours also considered
Location: Thorn Turn, Houghton Regis or Sandy Depot, Sandy
Lewis at Service Care Solutions is assisting Central Bedfordshire Council in recruiting 7 permanent Civil Enforcement Officers.


Key Details:

• Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off on an 8-week rolling rota, with early and late shifts between 7 am and 9:30 pm.


• Weekend working with additional enhancements.


• Full-time hours are 37 per week, but part-time hours will be considered (please state your preferences).

Role Overview: If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and want great staff benefits such as gym memberships and holiday discounts, this role could be for you! Civil Enforcement Officers ensure smooth traffic movement and manage car parking by issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs).


Responsibilities:

• Carry out parking enforcement throughout Central Bedfordshire.


• Minimize parking contraventions by issuing PCNs.


• Provide a high-quality service in line with council policies.


• Represent the council confidently and positively in public interactions.


• Full training provided, including Level 2 Parking Enforcement qualification.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills.


• Ability to handle conflicts calmly and follow processes.


• Resilience and flexibility to work outdoors in all weather conditions.


• A clean driving licence (non-drivers will be considered for a few roles).


• Standard DBS clearance required.
