Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) - Early Intervention

Location: Nottingham NHS, based in Bulwell or St Ann
Agency Service: Service Care Solutions
Pay Rate: £27 per hour (Ltd), paid through an umbrella company

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) for an early intervention role within Nottingham NHS, based in Bulwell or St Ann.

This position focuses on providing essential mental health support to individuals experiencing the early stages of mental illness, particularly psychosis.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the early intervention in psychosis service to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mental health assessments, care planning, and interventions for service users in the community.


• Work closely with individuals experiencing first episodes of psychosis or other mental health conditions.


• Deliver therapeutic interventions that may include psychoeducation, medication management, and psychological support.


• Engage with service users, families, and carers to facilitate recovery and manage risks effectively.


• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with NHS protocols.


• Promote recovery-focused care and reduce hospital admissions through community-based treatment.

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration.


• Previous experience in community mental health or early intervention services.


• Strong understanding of the principles of early intervention in psychosis.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

• Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (Ltd), paid through an umbrella company.
