Engineering Head

An Engineering Head is required to join one of the UK's leading steel companies in Bedfordshire ASAP.

Important Details:

• Full-time: 40 hours per week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; potential for reduced hours for an experienced candidate).


• Salary: £60,000 + up to 8% bonus (dependent on experience).


• Working Arrangement: Office-based preferred for collaboration with designers and site teams, although hybrid options may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Duties:

• Provide engineering calculations for all types of architectural metalwork and structural steelwork, including base plate design, balustrades, steel connections, stair railings, and beam deflection.


• Manage engineering tasks independently, participate in meetings, and liaise with customers.


• Design balconies, balustrades, stairs, and other structures while adhering to building regulations and Eurocodes.

Qualifications Required:

• Extensive experience in structural and architectural metalwork.


• Strong communication skills and self-management capabilities; ideally chartered.


• Ability to engage confidently with designers and the site team.

Additional Information:

• The engineer will be the sole engineering resource, so expertise is essential.


• Preferred software will be purchased for the engineer.
