Business Analyst - Asset Management
Job Description:
Our client, a reputable asset management firm, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join their Edinburgh based team on an initial 6-month contract basis.
The role will suit a highly skilled Business Analyst who has a solid background within asset management.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Highly experienced working in a business analyst role with a strong understanding of investment management processes.
- Hands-on experience with order management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Knowledge of investment compliance requirements would be beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between various stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in documentation, testing, and analysis.
Core Responsibilities:
- Document existing data sources used by the Investment Compliance team.
- Facilitate Transition of Investment Controls.
- Analyse results generated by the coded rules in the order management system.
- Test new reports and workflows in the order management system, verifying that they meet business requirements and align with operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal clients, such as trading and portfolio management teams, to test and validate workflows.
