Community Nurse

Community Nurse - NHS Shropshire
Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Community Nurse to join the NHS in Shropshire, offering competitive pay at £21.50 Ltd per hour (paid weekly via an umbrella company).

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.



Role Overview: As a Community Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes or community settings.

This role will require you to work independently, providing both physical and emotional support to patients, and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Compression bandaging for patients with leg ulcers or other conditions requiring wound support.

  • Wound care management, including dressing changes, pressure sore management, and infection control.

  • Doppler assessments for circulatory issues, evaluating blood flow to assist in diagnosis and treatment plans.

  • Holistic assessments, evaluating the patient's overall health, social needs, and care requirements.

  • Insulin administration, ensuring safe and accurate dosages for patients with diabetes.

  • Catheterisation (female, male, and suprapubic): insertion, monitoring, and care of catheters.

  • End of life care: managing symptoms, providing emotional support to patients and families, and using syringe drivers for medication management.

  • Effective symptom management, monitoring patient conditions, and adjusting care plans as needed.



Essential Requirements:



  • Previous experience in community nursing

  • Valid NMC registration

  • Proven skills in the areas listed above

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team

  • Full UK driving licence (as you may be required to travel between patient homes)

This will be paid in your first pay packet.
