Field Service Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer with a market leading chemical manufacturer! We are looking for Field Service Engineer to join the team on permanent, full-time basis.

The key responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer are to provide a high-quality service to clients across the United Kingdom, supporting with the installation and maintenance of company equipment on customer sites.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:



  • Perform service visits, both preventative and reactive, to meet customer requirements, carrying out the service and repair of products and systems.

  • Maintain communication with customers onsite to reduce potential downtime, ensuring any reactive maintenance is completed within the appropriate time frame, maximising the reliability of the company equipment.

  • Complete accurate records and management reports and provide training to clients to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices.

  • Managing customer accounts, identifying potential leads and supporting with the development of the business.

  • Demonstrate an analytical approach to trouble shooting, ensuring the availability of necessary materials.


Qualifications required for Field Service Engineer:



  • To excel in the role of the Field Service Engineer, you must have experience within a similar installation role or transferrable skills which provide technical support within a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • It is essential that you have a Level 3 Electrical Qualification, 18th Edition or equivalent with a in depth understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits and control systems.

  • As this is a role with national coverage, you must be able to travel UK wide with the flexibility to provide occasional emergency cover outside of working hours.

  • An understanding of chemical dosing systems is desirable but not essential.
